This programme offers individuals having uniquely creative ideas the opportunity for access to our facilities, mentorship and in-house consultancy, in order that they may develop their innovations and produce world-class solutions and products. The ideas must bear promise of impacting society, to eradicate vulnerabilities and/or improve quality of lives and/or add joy to living, while catalysing the diffussion/revolution of the civilisation.
At the
labs, we believe that
children are extraordinary
engineers - may be not so
knowledgeable; maybe, even,
foolish; but creative designers
and builders nonetheless. Through
this programme, we reach out to
expose them to the frontier
technologies, while working to
ensure that excellent education in
Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics
is available and accessible to
all. We avail them equipment and
instruction for lerner-focused,
project-based, hands-on and
playful learning activities in a
relaxed atmosphere.
Through mobile labs
(computer labs and STEM labs), we
intend to extend our geospatial
reach and increase the frequency
of contact to ensure learners in
slum areas, rural locations,
public schools and places of
refuge access quality education
opportunities.
As a means to catalyse absorption of prevalent technologies, we endeavour to train marginal communities, age-groups and economic groups on various contemporary skills, including digital and financial literacy, communication, project management, business administration, etc to position them for participation and thriving in the civilisation. The programme aims to both expose and excite innovation upon present contemporary and frontier technologies and solutions.
We are keen on societal governance and leadership. The labs conduct programmes targeting the youth in public participation of legislation touching on Cognivention.Org's focus areas. Our advocacies, as an innovators' community, progress to ensure that R&D activities are not unnecessarily hampered, that nations benefit from scientific discoveries and innovative achievements, and that they are positioned for the next phase in its dynamism.
We are
excited at the academic prospects
of young African innovators. We
shall support undergraduate
research activity alongside
offerings of core units by
partnering universities leading to
the award of Bachelor of
Phillosophy degree.
Morover, we shall support rigorous
masters' research work at our
resource centres that shall lead
to the award of the coveted Master
of Phillosophy degree, a pathway
to the professional research
career.
